Roadkill Radar is a social media application that leverages the Map Geolocation API to display users' current locations and facilitate the addition of roadkill sightings. Users can mark new occurrences by interacting with a spinning radar icon, selecting the precise location on the map. The app allows categorization of roadkill types, such as deer, coyote, wolf, dog, cat, turtle, among others. By tapping on a skeleton icon representing the animal, users can view comments left by previous contributors for that specific location. The application maintains data freshness by removing sightings after 30 days.

One notable feature of Roadkill Radar is its emphasis on user safety: it explicitly prohibits usage while operating a motor vehicle, including cars, motorcycles, trucks, and ATVs. The tool proves useful for tracking high-traffic areas where animals are commonly hit by vehicles, as well as monitoring how recent such incidents are.
